Beer & Burgers (& quick Club Meeting) again this weekend – 26 Sept

Just a reminder -Beer & Burgers this Saturday the 26th of September.  Bar opens at 3pm and first burgers around 5pm.  Baked Alaska for dessert!!  The last Beer & Burgers event was a good success and is an event that promises to get better and better!  Dave cooked up the last burgers to order with a great mix of grilled onions and baked potatoes as well.  This is a great opportunity to bring a dish you would like others to try and kind of be a potluck as well as a Beer & Burgers event – do put this on your calendar and join us on the 2nd 4th Sat of the month.

We will also hold a very brief meeting around 7pm to vote in new members and view suggestions for agenda for a full meeting to be held in early October.  We have halloween and firewood and winter things to consider.  The meeting this Saturday is primarily to vote new members in so see you there!!

Delicious successful dinner Sept 12th

2015-09-12-17.00dinner_prepAn excellent turn out for our latest event/dinner of September 12th.  Susannah true to her reputation for delicious feasts cooked up a dinner that left very little in leftovers!!  Smoked salmon and pork loin were the main course along with a great combination of sides.  The flaming baked alaska (see video) was a real hit as well and everyone was well fed and enjoyed a good comradery which lasted until around midnight.  See the pictures below.  A special thank you for Pat from Suisun City who helped immensely in the prep stages of the event in the kitchen.  After the event many hands quickly got the chairs stacked and put away and Amy’s extra help in the kitchen with clean up was so appreciated as well.  Thank you everyone for coming and for your help in making the event a success.
